Senior Pastor – Dr. Kim Gee

Born in Korea, grew up on the border of North and South Korea. Village of straw huts, destroyed during Korean war. Spent almost 1  1/2 years in a North Korean Work Camp. ( The word depression was never used, we learned to survive) Rescued by Dr. Bob Pierce, founder of World Vision International. One of the first World Vision orphan about 60 miles out of Soul Korea. Adopted by a Chinese couple in Houston Texas through Holt Adoption Agency.

Education:

Ozark Bible College (merged with Kansas city Bible College, name changed to Calvary University)

Baptist Bible College, Springfield MO

Wheaton College (summer school, urban study 1967)

Lancaster Bible College

Received certification of marriage counseling. Also received training from various institutes.

My best training for the ministry was at Pacific Garden Mission, Chicago IL, (producer of Unshackle radio drama ministry), I call this the University of Hard Knocks. I served the Lord at the mission for over 6 years dealing with every kind of degradation you can think of. Also representing Pacific Garden Mission in numerous churches. This experience has helped me over the years in my 46 years of pastoral ministry (still learning). I met my wife who was on staff of Unshackle radio ministry in our mid 20s.

My Philosophy of the ministry:

The four aspects of grace cover all of the biblical purposes of the local church. God’s challange to us to make sure (see to it) that no one – not us, not anybody misses  such as abundant grace.

1.) We are given grace to know Jesus Christ, to find salvation and healing in Him and become part of His family.

2.) We are given grace to grow  into Christ-Likeness by developing the spiritual habits of Bible study, prayer, giving, and gathering in small groups (small groups are developed by church people)

3.) We are given grace to serve God with assembly of Christians using the grace gifts imparted by the Holy Spirit.

4.)We are given grace to show God our love through worship and to show the world the love Christ through outreach and sharing the message of Jesus with love and sensitivity.

Winfield Bible chapel is not the fastest growing Assembly in the community.  Our mission is to reflect excellence in all that we do, from the teaching of God’s Word, recognizing that we are ultimately serving Him and that Christ deserves nothing less than our best effort.

Just a servant, nothing more and nothing less, it’s not even about our assembly where we worship, it’s all about Yeshua, His Love and Grace. John 3:30
